Re: Justice Release TA/Resources?

A program Maureen and I were involved with years ago provided a service for inmates who had participated in sud treatment while in prison. The time of prison discharge was identified as the critical point of risk for relapse and our program provided a peer recovery oriented transportation arrangement for inmates, meeting them as they left the prison gate to physically transition them into a treatment setting in the community. This service provided a successful treatment connection which was more successful than simply providing a referral for recovery support outside of prison.

If any of you have resources and/or current case examples that could be applied to this situation, please let me (and the network) know.
