Relatedly, here are two resources developed by MHTTCs that apply to all of us…
Supportive Practices for Mental Health Professionals During Pandemic-Related Social Distancing
Social distancing is the deliberate increasing of physical space between people to stop or slow down the spread of a highly contagious illness. For mental health professionals, the challenges that accompany social distancing can place significant roadblocks to daily work. This product developed by the South Southwest MHTTC, provides tips for the mental health workforce on supporting behavioral health during social distancing.
Taking Care of Yourself During a Public Health Crisis
Coping with a public health emergency can be stressful and worrisome. You may have to deal with uncertainty, concerns about your health and the health of your family and friends, a change in your routine, limited access to needed resources, and more. This resource developed by the Northeast and Caribbean MHTTC, addresses steps you can take to care for yourself during difficult times. There are also services and supports available if you need a higher level of emotional care.
Heather.

Hello all –
Our university sent out these tips about mindfulness and meditation today. I have not yet tried these apps, but I intend to. Take care of yourselves during this challenging time. We need you.
Mindfulness/Meditation: Engage in a mindfulness activity like yoga, seated or standing meditation, meditative walking, and more.
· Sanvello: The Sanvello app provides on-demand help for stress and anxiety, and offers a virtual platform where you can meaningfully connect with others. During this challenging time, premium access is free for everyone. Try out one of their mindfulness activities, such as the “Awareness of Emotions” guided meditation.
· Smiling Mind: The Smiling Mind app features hundreds of meditations, organized into structured programs like Mindful Foundations (42 sessions), Sleep (6 sessions), Relationships (13 sessions), and Workplace (41 sessions). Most meditations are in the five- to fifteen-minute range, with a few practices up to 45 minutes for advanced meditators.
